I had a terrace outside of the room. I set up my tripod and a 500mm lens with a 1.4 extender. I think these waves were at least ¼ of a mile away. I waited until the late afternoon light illuminated the waves. I photographed this at f4 for 1/250 of a second on Velvia 100ASA film.
