She was reluctant to be photographed, and I did not have much time. She did not appear to understand English. I decided that a double exposure would be the best route to take. I used a Leica M3 with a 135mm lens on Kodachrome film. Exposures unrecorded. This photograph is in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress.
