It was very, very hot and very humid. I could not believe how many people lived in Cairo, millions and millions. Since we had just come from a visit in Israel, we really felt the difference between the two cultures. I have always liked this street scene because of the balance of the image and the movement of the man pulling the cart. I used a Canon EOS with a 100mm 2.8 macro lens at f8 and 1/250 of second on Kodak Professional negative film.
