I call him Mel. Mel was living in a homeless shelter in Mumbai, India. He had a warm and friendly face and although we did not speak the same language, he invited me to take this photograph. I used a 300mm Canon lens on Velvia 100ASA film at 1/125 of a second at f4. After the photograph, I took all of the people that were living in the shelter to an outside restaurant and bought them lunch.
