Lou had lived and worked in New Orleans and he knew the area well. We went around photographing, and I kept embarrassing him by introducing myself as Lou Katz. Lou is a shy, brilliant man who is the CFO of George Washington University. The very last thing that he wanted was for me to go around giving out his private unlisted phone number to the many people at Mardi Gras. I still don’t know why he was angry at me . . . This photograph was taken with a Canon EOS 1 on Velvia 50ASA with a 135mm Canon lens at f2.8, 1/250 of a second.
