Because of the jetlag and how late we stayed up, we slept until 4 in the afternoon. We opened the blinds in our room at the Excelsior Hotel and in front of us was this beautiful scene on the Arno River. One cannot underestimate the value of luck. Had I not slept until that time, I might have missed this image. I am glad I was there. I used a 200mm Canon lens at 1/250 of a second at f4 on Velvia 50ASA film.
