This time, a large sign warning of dangerous undertow did not deter me. I had taken a few photographs when the water began to move quickly. I was caught off guard and started running. My foot got stuck in the sand and I lost a sneaker. I used a wide-angle 20-35mm Canon lens with a polarizer to darken the sky and accentuate the clouds on Fuji 100 ASA film.
